Antonio Galloni The 2018 Carmignano Il Sasso is beautifully finessed from start to finish. The purity of the flavors is really quite striking. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice, cedar and tobacco are some of the many notes that run through this super-expressive and inviting Carmignano. Sweet floral accents linger. 92P

James Suckling A very polished, pretty Carmignano with currant, blackberry and chocolate character. It’s full-bodied, yet there’s polish and balance to the wine. A blend of sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. Delicious now, but is going to be even better in 2021. 93P
Falstaff „Dunkles Granat. Offenherzige und einladende Nase nach satten Waldbeeren, roten Rohnen und einem leicht erdigen Nachhall, sowie Schwarztee. Geschmeidiger und dunkelwürziger Gaumen, fließt elegant über die Zunge, sehr eigenständig und charaktervoll, langes Finish.“
